MEET THE FOUNDER

Shakeila Williams 

My Name is Shakeila Williams, and I am founder of Beastie Beauties Model & Talent Management.  I currently reside in Raleigh, NC in which I was born in raised. As a child I would constantly get picked on about being so tall. I always thought I didn’t fit in or considered myself to be different. My two ideals at the time were Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell.  These women were the only two Black models that I knew about.  As a child I would always play dress up, and constantly walk in heels thinking I was on America’s Next top Model. Growing up I always wanted to use my height to my advantage by becoming a model. I have gone to several auditions in which I would make the auditions but unfortunately my family was not able to afford to place me within different managements or agencies. Growing up a lot of people within my communities were also not able to afford a lot of our dreams. Within most managements we would see a lot of other races get the help from these managements to soar in their dreams. Growing up I had to train myself on the establishments on how to become a model. The financial burden was unfortunately passed down to me and I also was not able to expand or establish within my own modeling career. My outlook on the hope for my future has changed. This is one of the reasons why I choose to establish my own management because I wanted to change this effect within the community of not being able to succeed as a Black model who is not able to afford assistance because of the lack of their financial state. My mentoring classes as well as management will help those who are less financially stabled as well as those who have lost hope within this industry by offering lower competitive packages and putting my heart and soul into building a family of successful talents.
